About Me
Hello, I’m Frank, a person-centred counsellor and psychotherapist based in Ilkley, West Yorkshire.
Is there something troubling or upsetting you, a part of your life you find yourself unable to ignore or make sense of? Perhaps you’re feeling as though happiness and fulfilment are somehow out of reach, or you’re struggling with longer-term challenges, such as stress, anxiety, low mood or depression. All of these issues, and more, can be addressed in counselling.
I offer space and time in a safe, confidential, non-judgemental environment to allow you to discuss problems and difficult feelings or experiences and aid you in finding a way forwards. Together we work to understand you better and make positive changes in your life.
I spent over a decade working as a writer and an editor and, at heart, I’m passionate about what it means to be human, with all the messiness, uncertainty and difficulties that entails. Therapy can be a space to tell – and own – your story, to take the pieces that don’t seem to add up and find a new way to fit them together. It can also be a place to let go of the things that no longer serve you, to start on a new chapter in your life.
Experience and qualifications:
I hold a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, which focused specifically on the Person-Centred Approach, and a Certificate in Counselling Skills. I am a registered member of the BACP and adhere to its Ethical Framework. You can find me on the BACP Therapist Directory here.
