About Me

Hello, I’m Frank, a person-centred counsellor and therapist based in Ilkley, West Yorkshire.

Is there something troubling or upsetting you, a part of your life you find yourself unable to ignore or make sense of? Or perhaps you’re feeling as though happiness and fulfilment are somehow out of reach. This could be something counselling can help with. It gives you space and time to discuss your problems and any difficult feelings or issues you may be struggling with in a safe, confidential, non-judgemental environment. I offer that space and time, and help you to make sense of the challenging, confusing things in your life, to find your own answers to what ails you and how to make progress. Together we work to understand you better and make positive changes in your life.

I spent a decade as a writer and an editor, always fascinated by the stories people tell themselves and others. At heart, I’m passionate about what it means to be human, with all the messiness, uncertainty and challenges that entails.

Experience and qualifications:

I hold a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, which focused specifically on the Person-Centred Approach, and a Certificate in Counselling Skills. I am a registered member of the BACP and adhere to its Ethical Framework.
